Executive Chef Laurence grew up in the South of France cooking with her grandmother on her family's vineyard.
She discovered the world of French cuisine working at the Michelin-starred La Fenière restaurant in Lourmarin, Provence.
She then decided to study Japanese and Japanese cuisine and lived in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture for three years.
She then moved to Tahiti and opened her own cafe and deli. After cooking in Tahiti for 17 years, she decided to work on a mega yacht to learn new techniques and meet chefs from around the world.
She returned to Japan with her family because her daughter wanted to attend Osaka University.
She worked as a kitchen chef at the Hilton Hotel in Umeda, Osaka until she opened La Cantina in May 2024.
La Cantina restaurant hosts monthly cooking classes to learn French and Mexican cuisine. Wine tasting events are held to allow wine lovers to enjoy a wide selection of French wines.
Wine pairings are also on the menu.
