Lunch and dinner set menus and 'à la carte' menus take you on a journey from Mexico to Paris, Oaxaca to Marseille,with dishes including Melted Cheese Fondue with Béchamel Chorizo and French Baguette, Seared Scallops with Tequila and Butter Garlic Sauce, Beef Bourguignon with Chocolate Moule Sauce or Bistro Steak with Grilled Truffle Potatoes, but also paella mexicana, wagyu risotto, truffles scrambled eggs croissant, seared foie gras with orange salad.

Meet the Chef

A French chef serving up flavours
from around the world

"La Cantina is unique in that it is a new concept that combines French and Mexican cuisine."

Executive Chef Laurence grew up in the South of France cooking with her grandmother on her family's vineyard.

She discovered the world of French cuisine working at the Michelin-starred La Fenière restaurant in Lourmarin, Provence.

She then decided to study Japanese and Japanese cuisine and lived in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture for three years.

She then moved to Tahiti and opened her own cafe and deli. After cooking in Tahiti for 17 years, she decided to work on a mega yacht to learn new techniques and meet chefs from around the world.

She returned to Japan with her family because her daughter wanted to attend Osaka University.

She worked as a kitchen chef at the Hilton Hotel in Umeda, Osaka until she opened La Cantina in May 2024.

Wine tastings, cooking classes and special events at La Cantina

La Cantina restaurant hosts monthly cooking classes to learn French and Mexican cuisine. Wine tasting events are held to allow wine lovers to enjoy a wide selection of French wines.

Wine pairings are also on the menu.

Private bookings available.

La Cantina can be booked for birthdays and special events.

We also accept reservations for banquets of 20 or more people.
